Testimonials

Professional. Dedicated. Fun. A passion to stretch your child’s learning abilities. You can also expect popcorn, lemonade, gum and friendly competition with each visit. This is not your ordinary visit to the tutor. Eileen is extraordinary. My children who sometimes visit her together - one plays and listens while the other learns, have benefited. She was able to take them beyond the levels of learning that were available to them in their school and they were eager to do more for her. She gives them individual attention, captures their imaginations and makes them laugh while they learn. One of the best resources available in Miami for early education cognitive training.

Eileen Kross is one of the best--perhaps the best primary teacher/tutor I know. I have had my children in various schools both in Miami and Connecticut and have observed many teachers. I have been a teacher myself. I have very high standards. Eileen Kross has done wonders for two of my grandchildren. She has a style that really "turns kids on". She is a happy person and rigorous. I particularly admire the way she facilitates thinking. My grandchildren love to go work with Ms K. I highly recommend Ms. K. as a tutor for either or both math and reading.

I am a mother of two school-aged children who have been going to "Ms. K" for both tutoring and enrichment. They attend two different reputable Miami private schools. My daughter is finishing 4th grade and my son is finishing 1st grade. What we all love about Ms. K is that she knows how to motivate children and to make learning FUN! Ms. K loves to teach "out of the box" and she is challenged happily to always look for new ways to inspire my children. When my son goes to Ms. K, he says, "Bring it on!" What more do you want for your children? Learning is a life skill and Ms. K knows how to touch the lives of children in this regard. We recommend her highly for general enrichment, as well as for math, writing, reading, social studies, and developing general study skills.

Ms. K is a wonderfully talented teacher who inspires children and brings out the very best in them. Her teaching style is unique and highly effective. She makes learning fun; my daughter actually looks forward to her weekly tutoring sessions with Ms. K.

I have been busy all day today and just hosted an adult dinner party tonight. The boys were left on their own upstairs to "play". I went up to check on them and, as I predicted, found Jules on the computer and Aidan playing nintendo. I was afraid to see what mischievous Gabe was up to. To my surprise, he was sprawled on his bed reading the Ramona book aloud (and animated) to himself. I couldn't believe it, but next to him was an open Webster's dictionary. I asked him what he was doing and he told me he was reading the Ramona book and looking up EVERY word he didn't know! It blew my mind! He has owned that dictionary for quite awhile and never used it until now! He has definitely come a long way. This shows that he REALLY understands the value of what he's learned from you. He's taking his time and following his own initiative. He's not just reading to "read" but reading to "understand" the story! Of course I couldn't help but tackle him and plant a gazillion kisses on his cute cheeks! This is a milestone. So to you, a gazillion kisses from me!!! Thank you Eileen!

You are one of the most dedicated teachers I know and a person with whom Gabe has made an incredible connection.

Eileen, I would like to mention that out of all the teachers Alexander has had in his seven years of schooling, you are the one that had the most positive influence over my son. In fact, during third grade with you, Alex flourished as a student and as an individual. Eileen, you possess a unique combination of two professors representing an ideal teacher: Professor Chips and Professor Higgins.

This next one was written regarding a boy as he was finishing up 4th grade. Ms. K. had him as a student years earliers when he was in junior kindergarten. She was very touched that he still even remembered her.

Just three or four days ago he told me that the most memorable teacher he ever had was you... I was really surprised (not because I don't think you're the best.... I KNOW that!!!!), but because we were talking about what you learn when and how you apply it later on. So, he thinks that you were a very influential person in his life...

My best to you. I always keep you fondly in my heart!
